York String Quartet

The York String Ensemble is York’s favourite string quartet for weddings and events throughout York, Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

We perform to the highest standards offering you and your guests the largest musical repertoire anywhere in Yorkshire. We own a huge repertoire so you can choose anything from classical to the contemporary including songs from Frozen – Let it go, to Christina Perri – A Thousand Years. We have songs from a wide range of bands like The Killers, Oasis, Take That, Bruno Mars and Adele

The combined experience of our players over the years have included performances for weddings and events across various venues. These have included The Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Grand Opera House York, The Barbican Centre, The National Centre for Early Music and many more. Our players have performed with famous World leading Orchestras such as The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, York Guildhall Orchestra, Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra, York Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
